With the end of the workshop i decided to make a post with a last day view of the work lab, everyone was very tired but pleased with the results, so there as a special feeling in the air.

Q: I can’t move/paste/touch/anything my outline

A: You’re most probably in the wrong layer. From the Editing layers panel, select the appropriate layer (i. e. Outline or Mask or whatever.

Don’t worry, that happens to all of us, all the time.

The afternoon of day two was an introduction to font editing. The learning curve is steep, and we’re happy everyone is keeping up so well. No time for blogging, we’re just running around answering questions.

The tree alphabet has been severely trimmed to act more like a typeface; quirkiness is easier to add than to remove.

The font of Catarina and Ana (F) is shaping up: a whole upper and lower case alphabet is complete, and yet with many alternative solutions (=painful decisions).

Currently, they are also working on a more stretched (condensed) version of the whole thing.
